Synthesized basses and hybrid, electronic-organic percussion are the heart and main focus of the PTCHWRK project. Breaking away from orthodox methods of sound design and structure has helped the duo, composed of Alex Patricolo and Dan Perez (aka Dan Wolfz) to turn the heads of many in the bass and experimental dance music communities.

PTCHWRK has grown a fan-base on a national scale by consistently releasing their musical works, as well as performing in cities across California, Colorado, Florida, and Montana on bills with the likes of G Jones, Netsky, Big Gigantic, EAZYBAKED, Elephant Heart, Daily Bread, G-Space, ION, TRUTH, DMVU, Toadface , and Don Jamal. Releasing on labels like Odyzey Music, spicy bois, and TIMEWHEEL has also garnered Internet success for the duo. 

PTCHWRK primarily focuses on variable live music expression with a hybrid electric-acoustic drum kit and live synthesizer arrangement, yet performs DJ sets that are curated with higher intensity dubstep, drum & bass, garage and house music featuring original music with selections from their producer circle, whereas their live sets focus on a more melodic approach featuring elements of jazz and liquid drum & bass.
